It's a simple math problem. The average age of a credit union member is 10 years older than the average age of a North American. If credit unions do not reverse the trend and attract the next generation of credit union members, the future doesn't look so bright.

Get your hands on the new CUNA Gen Y white paper

There is a great new Gen Y marketing white paper written by Judy Dahl for the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council that I would recommend getting your hands on.

This white paper discusses youth marketing, communications planning and strategies, tools and tactics, communications with young people and ways of measuring success. It includes 10 case studies featuring credit unions that are successfully attracting and retaining young people through effective marketing and communications programs.

CUNA Council members are entitled to complimentary copies and  non-members may purchase the white papers $50 per copy. The paper is available online in the white paper section of www.cunacouncils.org – select the “Marketing & BizDev” tab.
